All sites are created for a particular purpose as selling purpose, information resources & showcase to display the owner’s talent, resume & portfolio, so the Design & content must reflect the main theme of the website. For example if your Website designed for selling purpose, there should be a (table, resource box) which provide a brief one-line summary about your product’s features may work for your main page, but you will probably find that you get more buyers if you can provide a link to a page that gives a detailed list of features of each of your products.
So the main webpage may design which provide easily accessible information about the Product. The usability of your site is important to help you achieve that purpose. Where the design of a web page is concerned, it is most important element of your Website in achieving the goals. A cluttered page with too much information tends to confuse visitors, and cause them to think that the information cannot be found on your site.
Many new web designers want their website to look unique. They want their site to look special and memorable. As such, they have a tendency to come up with all sorts of interesting things to do with their site. Another important thing, if you website has some graphic animation, it should has some informative value. Logo has also distinct importance. Decorative graphics on a page are fine. They play an important roll in making the page more pleasant, impressive & hence more likely to be read.
You should be careful by choosing the Font style for your website. Always select that font style which is common or install in every computer. Try to keep the images that are used in your website 10-12kb per images. Huge images are a primary cause of slow pages. They take a time in opening. The users, who haven’t broadband, will face troubles to access your webpage. Graphics should be match with content. There have been many studies that show that flashing graphics are distracting and annoying to people. Simplicity in graphics can also have the ability to attract the users.
The Back Button is one of the most important Web buttons on any Web page, and yet most Web designers don’t think of it when they are building their pages. In fact, it’s very common to see “back to home” or “back to start” or just “back” links built into the pages that they are designing. But unless these links have built in logic that knows exactly where the customer was before they clicked (like the browser back button does), then these links are just guess at the path that the customer took through your site.
